I just bought the mount for the antenna from a GL1200. Does anyone have the specifics on what is needed to make it fit the Interstate. How much do I cut off? Once I open up the bottom will it just fit over the bar under the trunk? Thanks, Ed

Are you referring to the mounting bar shown as shown here?

Yes, that is the one I bought and I'm told it fits on the Interstate but needs a few mods done to it. Looking for measurements or diagram or ?? . I'd like to measure 3 times and cut once.

thanks

Now that kinda takes the fun out of it, doesn't it?   Grin

You want to mimic the clearance distance of your AM/FM antenna's mounting base to trunk. Measure that then lay the GL1200 part against the rear trunk mounting stay and find the right spot. Then, mark the end of the 'Wing mounting arm where you'll need to remove material (and if memory serves, you will).
