I just ordered a metric tour pack for my 2000 tourer.  Does anyone have experience with one? I am just wondering if there are any issues I need to be prepared for on installation. I already have one of their fairings mounted on the front. It went on okay. But it did have issues.  I was not totally impressed on fitment. I had to order replacement clamps because the ones in the kit were not large enough for my shocks. And the quick release lever has never engaged properly. I have jury-rigged a way to keep it on solid.

Overall happy with the fairing.

Just wanted to know if there are any known issues with the trunk.

Thanks,
Doug

I put their hard saddlebags on my wife's sportster.  I wasn't real impressed but, they did the job.  I used the universal mounting hardware and it was crude but, it worked.  I had to remove her turn signals so I bought some and drilled the bags and added the new turn signals there.  The price is hard to beat.  I also put one of their bat wing fairings on the sporty.  It looked great but, I had to custom make hardware to fit it good and solid.  I also painted it to match.  The bags I left black as the sides of the fenders were black so it looked good.  I have seen their trunk on several bikes.  Not real impressed but, it's functional.  My buddy has toured the lower 48 with that tour pack so, it can't be all bad.

Hello,

I got my Tour-pack today.  I am impressed.  It doesn't seem like any of you have gotten one from the responses to my post, but it is nice. Really nice!  They told me there might be up to an 8 week lead time, I got mine in four weeks.  They told me the same about the fairing I ordered from them, I got it in 5 weeks.  I am impressed.

The construction is quality.  It came with an amplifier for the dual 6x9 waterproof speakers.  I hooked it up to my android phone and was blown away by the quality of the sound.  The bass was beyond what I expected.  I can't wait to hook it up to the head unit in my Tsukayu 6x9 fairing.

It came with two, beefy, brackets that lined up perfectly with the saddle bag brackets.  The chrome job was really nice, and the install was easy peasy!

The only hitch was the upholstered backrest hole was about 1/4' off center.  But re-drilling was a cinch. They sent way more stainless screws and bolts than were needed, which was nice for a change.  I am tired of getting shorted a screw for a part.

In all, I would say 2 hours install time and my wife has a great new backrest.  I have two new awesome speakers.  And we both have a lot of storage to use on long trips.

Overall, you get what you pay for.  This was well worth the price!  I am looking to get some saddlebags from them.
