I just haven't been riding it like I should have and I have other things that I would like to use the $$ for.  This is not a fire sale. I am going to give you a partial list of things that I remember that have been installed on the bike over the years.  I did not buy it new.  I traded a 2000 Goldwing to a guy in Dallas Ga. even up for it and a camper trailer and he got it from someone else way back when.  I'll have to look at the service records to see when we got it.  It has 69,819 miles on it as of today.  I just put a new Avon tire on the front about 2 months ago before our trip out West.  The rear is a Michelin car tire 205-60/16 with almost no wear.
Here is the list in no particular order.  It is set up for a tall person....me at 38" inseam.
Ultimate King Big Boy full set
Cobra pipes that I modified to make them a little more quiet
Front and rear Showchrome fender extensions
Rear fender has a tailight mounted in case you want to do a super valk mod
Air horns mounted underneath swingarm, compressor in front of battery
Cruise control that I need to figure out why it isn't working now.  I have an extra brand new one
Showchrome Carb covers
Cobra drivers and passenger floorboards
Chrome rear brake reservoir cover
Mustang tank cover
Arlen Ness lighted turn signal mirrors
Baker air wings
Showchrome risers to raise bars
Goldwing adjustable brake and clutch levers
Rattlebars peg lowering kit
Rattlebars heel and toe shifter
Rattlebars bar grill
Driving lights on crash bars
Tall Tulsa windshield
Kuryakyn grips
Kuryakyn riding pegs
Back off brake light module
Pingel petcock and it has been desmogged
Kuryakyn intake covers
Chrome slinky radiator hose
Iway GPS with mount wired to fuse panel
Extra fuse panel underneath right side panel for air horn,GPS,lights, etc.
OEM pipes with piggies drilled and Airflo 18" extensions
Probably more that I have forgotten about.  I'll include the floor jack and lift adapter along with the service manual.
$6100 yep I lowered it a tad more.

Yes I know cooler weather is a plus.  Certainly no fun in Eddies kind of weather for me.  If anyone has an interest in a 2006 Victory Lane 5th wheel Toy Hauler to go with it we can talk about that too.  If we sell the bike we won't need the toy hauler, we will probably go to a conventional 5th wheel.  It is self contained with 100 gal. fresh water tank, 5500W Onan generator and set up for 2 Valkyries in the back.  Triple axle, everything working as it should.  It has been stored underneath a covered shed it's whole life.  The bike by the way has been inside it's whole time here also.

So do you still have a bike? I can't remember all you had other than the rocket and Valk.

If the Valkyrie is sold there probably won't be a motorcycle at all.  Just moving on with other stuff I guess.  At one time there was a 97 Tourer, a 98 Standard and the 99 Interstate and the 2005 Rocket III.  Ran out of room in the shop so had to store one in the toyhauler for a bit until the 97 Tourer was sold.  Another page in the book.  We have had fun and if we do sell the Interstate we are not cutting ties.  Just too many good memories and people that we have met to not stay connected.

???     You sure have been at this Valk hangout a long time as I have seen in older photos, when did you first get onboard here ? Your bike has always been a favorite of mine and we all know it has been very well cared for, worth every penny you are asking. Good luck with the sale and pics of what replaces it is a must.

Mike probably the earliest pictures were some that Mark Croft took in Ocala at Sonny's.  Not sure if this was 2000 or 2001 maybe. This was on the 1997 Tourer that I sold when I got the Rocket III  http://www.valkyrieriders.com/mark/July14/July14.htm  Hey Mark if you are listening we miss seeing y'all too.

Wow, great pics and do see some familiar faces even if I have not been here that long.
I think I see Jeff Parker in one of them.

Good luck with your sale, hope all your plans work out and thank you for contributing to this group as much as you have. cooldude cooldude

I have a deposit on the bike from an enthusiastic guy in Houston Tx.  He won't be picking it up until Aug. 12 but looks like it is a done deal.  After it leaves I will have more stuff to sell so stay tuned.  Bike extra spares of this and that.  He is flying in and riding it back so he didn't need the OEM pipes with Airflo 18" extensions, the lift and Spoonland adapter that I advertised with it.  Plus I have spare front calipers, alternator, rear differential etc. etc. that will be available once the bike leaves the building.

Always like looking at the old pics from yesteryear. Was checking the January, 2005 pics with a few shots taken in San Antonio and some in Eutis. The SA pics show our old friend Paul, aka Easygoer, and Dave Bastedo. Haven't seen either of them in years. Dave was a regular on our old Breakfast Club meetings at Luigi's in B'ville. Even showed this gray haired old fart in a couple pics. I recall one gent from Canada, came down and rode with us every winter, headed back north around April. We hit it off pretty good after we found out we both had some time in a C-172, can't remember his name. Lot of great memories of those times.

Are you talking about Gil from Canada?  He always had a new Gold Wing.  Rode with DDT a few times on a couple of trips.  He and his wife Donna met us in Steinhatchee for lunch once, I have a picture somewhere.  He said that he almost quit riding one year when there was a vehicle wreck in Ocala that almost took him out.

Yes, Gil....and you're right about the Wings. I used to kid him about that, told him he was trading in a new Wing for another new Wing.  Grin
