Here is about half of my video......this is Hwy 28 from Hwy 74 down to Franklin, NC....I was alone and ahead of the main group when I took this video and it was raining and the road was still wet in places...made it hard to feel confident enough to get on the throttle too hard......the second half was a little more fun, after I passed an SUV ....got to figure out how to upload the other part of the video...

I have a problem getting the second half of the video.....my camera saved it as a "MOV" file.....but to edit it with Windows Movie Maker, it needs to be in another format....AVI and I don't remember how to convert it.... Sad

Did your camera save the first half in another format? MOV is a MAC thing...

This codec pack is supposed so make it so that Winders Movie Maker can deal with MOV:

... but I haven't used it myself...

I'm still curious as to why your first half wasn't MOV... if it is still in your camera, can you tell
your camera which format to save in?

I have the same problem with video shot on my Powershot, I installed the pack but still can't get Movie Maker to import MOV files, but I'm none too clever with computer stuff.  Thanks for the tip, though, I'd like to know if anyone else gets it to work.

PS that looks like a great road Steamer cooldude

I didn't have time to watch it from home this morning, but I just let 'er rip full screen from one of the computers in my office,
that's a fine road... We took 28 from the Deal's Gap store down to Franklin on Saturday, with much or most
of it on dry roads...

My camera is the Kodak Z712 IS....it saves the movies in "MOV" format when i take them off  the memory card.....Photobucket allowed me to upload it in that MOV format but would only take about half of it.....I think youtube limits movie uploads to 5 mins each unless you pay extra, so what I was trying to do was get the MOV file into the Windows Movie maker program to be able to chop it into two 5 min videos....and then load them on youtube....cause I got a message from photobucket that....

"Every free account with Photobucket is allotted 10 GB of monthly
bandwidth and our records show that you have less than 3 GB of
bandwidth left to your account."

I have done what I am trying to do back in the past.....i just don't remember HOW I did it.... Cheesy.. Sad... Embarrassed

Ida know... the right version of Quicktime could convert it... do you have Quicktime? There's a lot
of stuff you can google that will help you get converters, and even a site that will upload your
mov, convert it and then let you download the converted version (http://www.media-convert.com/),
but if you've already done it once, there must be some program on your computer that will do it.

I found the program on my pc to convert MOV to WMV files....now I have to "re-learn" how to edit it in the WMV program....where's a 12 yr old kid when ya need him??...Maybe I won't because a guy over on the Delphi VRF posted a link to a video site that supposedly doesn't have a size restriction...maybe I can just load the whole video on that site??.....

One reason to use the WMV program is that I can add some music to the video....what would be a good song??..."Eye of the Tiger"??.....lol
