Howdy,
Am relocating from Ohio to Crawfordville area this month and just checking to see if there may be any local rides open to newbies to the area. Been a VRCC member for some time and a Valk rider since 97. Other bikes for 20 or 30 yrs before that. Could also use some guidance for restaurants, stores, good roads (though they all looked pretty good), any info would be appreciated.

Greetings Vern,
    I'm over here in Milton, FL just east of Pensacola. There is a had full of Valk riders over this way on VRCC but losing 1 to Nashville, TN. We ride mostly west of you but on occasions will ride H'way 90 over too Tallahassee area and  have made to Jax. ( Jacksonville, my cousin an IS rider folks live there.) I have seen a Valk brother in Tallahassee on the VRCC but that has been a couple years since I've seen him. I'm born and raised in Tallahassee and know that area well. Welcome to FL and Crawfordville. If you ride south to H'way 98 East & West is a nice ride but hot this time of year. We went to St. Marks last year, made for or a great weekend ride. St. George Island , spent the night in Apalachicola. Visited Port St. Joe, Mexico Beach, Panama City back to Milton. We like the food and slow pace along the " Forgotten Highway". Christj is on the VRCC site quite often. He lives in Crestview, FL just 35 min's from my home down I-10 east. He is a great guy and know the Valk bikes in-side and out.

Can't really help with your questions but welcome to Fl.  We are near Gainesville.  I have always liked the area around Tallahassee with the rolling hills.  I will say that 98 along the coast is a very nice ride as the tall pine trees etc. grow right up to the Gulf of Mexico.
