Hello, everyone. I was washing my bike and had to remove side cover (where 'glove box' is) and I discovered a portion of the bottom of the gas tank  covered in rust with pain bubbles and stuff. I know the paint quality is the weakest point of the Valkyrie but did not expect the situation that bad. The bike is garaged and I got into the rain only a couple of times. Looks like too much washing Wink  Have you ever heard about such issue ? I assume it could be covered under honda warranty. Thank you in advance.

Not heard of it yet. Had my seat off not too long ago and didn't notice anything like that. If I did, I'd get it to the dealer for replacement, and yea should be covered under the warranty.

I had some on the weld of the tank.  Sanded it clean wiped prep all and then primer and paint. Yes I feel shoddy paint, but it scratches way to easy in my book as well.

Honda  won't cover it. Paint warranty is 90 days if I remember correctly. My fender had stress cracks and they agreed to give me dealer prices to replace with free labor one time
