Yeap, the Valk is put away for the winter.  Really sucks that we had such a short riding season this year.  Probably only put on about 3000 miles this year.  Not very many at all.

To reminisce about this year brings to mind meeting an excellent co-valk owner that lives in the same town, has the same color bike, an all around good person.  I’ll miss spending time riding the hills of Mondovi with him, but hopefully it’s a short winter.  Chances are, by next spring his wife will be knocked up and he’ll be spending all his time with kids.  I guess that’s the way life goes……

Is the chances that high that all the women get knocked up with your bikes being put up for winter?   coolsmiley

Say it isn't so, Al! The weather forcast calls for... well, rain, snow and 40 degree highs. Cripes. Guess it's time to get mine put away, too.

It's been great riding with you and of course you come in very handy when I need to put in a new air filter, replace vacuumm lines, hook up new taillights, plug a tire, etc., etc., etc. Thanks for everything, can't wait to get the bikes out in the spring.

No shorties in the plans yet-- we're good, buddy!

I hate to say it but this weekend is it for big bird too. Its up to the pole barn for the long ass M.N. winter. I will change oil and put aviation gas in her to keep the carbs clean. Then us northern folks will have to live this winter thru the rest of your pic's and tails. So keep them coming because cabin fever get's real bad up here. crazy2

My rig went into hibernation last weekend (after oil/filter and a good clean'n)  ??? .  Only managed to squeeze in 2500 miles this season.  Too much real life got in the way this year.  Hope for more wind therapy in 2010.  Ymmv, sheets

I'm holdin' out for Thanksgiving weekend...

Got about 70 miles in Monday night, and sure plan to get a few more in before the snow hits us  Wink

Had a good mileage year, maybe passing 8K by the time I put her to bed.

Between the trips to the beautiful state of Michigan, to visit the 'Misguided' crew, the always popular CBR, and all the good folks involved, and an early season ride to Iowa, to visit with Steve K and Laura, and all the 'short' 200 - 300 mile weekends, it's been a good year  Grin

Ah yes, winter in Wisconsin.  Can't ride so it's time to take care of all the little things that need attention, that I've noticed over the riding season.

I'm down in the Chicago area and I ride all year ... street conditionss permitting (must be dry). This weekend I will be putting the bike on the battery tender, fill her up and add some stabil but if the conditions are right I will probably run an errand or 2 ... just love to scare the chit out of the civillians when I go riding by.  Grin And if we get a couple of those really warm days I may just ride to work.  cooldude
