It's warming back up here in CBR land. 47 degrees when I pulled out for work this morning and warm enough to leave my jacket in the saddle bag on the way home. The deer are really moving here lately though. Saw a small 6 pointer get hit in front of the house Sunday around 4pm. The guy in the pickup didn't want it so we got the deputy to write out a tag and son Andy grabbed the backstraps. He's taken three does so far this year with his bow and is hoping to put nine deer in the freezer before the season is over.

Here is a pic of two does he got 60 minutes apart while still hunting in the rain a while back. We camped in the creek bottoms for 4 days, two the rain and a couple of dry days which let me get my truck back out. This was a very tough retrieve since he took them at the bottom of a long steep ridge.

The one on the right is the Duc Man, grandson Mason is on the left and grandson Kyle is in the middle.

Kill 'em all and then come on down here. Our deer are smaller than any others I see but we have waaay to many. (might explain why they're so small).
Wish I could have visited with you more @ CBR Mike.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Wow, i wish we had the woods around here to do that. Usually we can see the other side!  Sad Had a doe run out in front of us a little bit ago as we came home from the watering hole.
