Years ago, I removed the lock mechanism for releasing the seat cuz that's where I mounted my ACC unit. I left the cable on top of the center plastic piece. The cable seems to have gone missing.
Anybody have any ideas on how to remove the seat, short of cutting it off?
Thnx,
Goose

It will require a little disassembly to do it, but if you take the left side cover off, remove the coolant tank, you can get your hand up into the area under the seat and find the latch mechanism to unlock the seat.  Push down a little on the seat to make it easier to unlatch.  You can get replacement cables from Honda.

I have a std and got my seat off by removing the right side cover, with a flashlight you will then be able to see the lock which can be released with a screwdriver.
I found this easier than going in from the left and there is nothing to remove!

ACC unit? Are you talking about cruise control unit, not sure what the ACC means. If it is the cruise unit, you sure didn't need to touch anything with the seat latch. I'm curious now.  Wink

There's two kits on Ebay at the moment, plus parts are available from Murph's Kits.
