I have been thinking again, (my wife says I have a problem with that!)
I have a 98 Sedona Red and Cream standard that is as close to new condition as a 12 year old bike can be. All the skins, tank, fenders, etc. are in pristine condition, no color fading, not a scratch or chip anywhere that I have seen.
I am adding a Memphis shades fairing and new hard bags, so if I was to change the color, now is the time to start thinking about it. Right now my biggest issue is that I really hate the idea of sanding down perfectly good parts just to change the color.
If there was someone relatively close with this color that wants to upgrade and re-fresh their bike, OR, someone that has always wanted this color, or someone that has skins that need some minor work but did not want to spend the money for a full blown paint job, we might be able to work something out.
I have no idea if this has been done on this board prior to this because I have only had my Valkyrie for a few months, but I thought it deserved throwing out there for consideration. I also have no idea what a fair price would be if I am able to find someone that wants to try and make it work.
I am open to everyone's thoughts on the subject

Your bike looks like new with a great color. What color are you thinking? Do you find some bags? Jack

Hi Jack, Color is up in the air yet, I am just thinking out loud (or in this case in print) as far as re-paint goes.
I bought a set of the Tsukayu jumbo hard bags in primer, the bags and the fairing needing paint is what prompted this post and the thoughts of a color change. It's now or never.
And yes, it is a nice color and it is in great shape, but to be honest, I bought the bike because of the low miles and it's condition, not the color. If I was buying off the show room, I would not have picked the Red and cream.

I don't have anything to offer, but I'm glad you posted this......because I've been kinda sorta thinking the same thing. However, with mine, I'd like to change it out to all black.....and I've wondered if someone would like to trade-out tins for tins instead of me doing a repaint.

I have Black with National bags
i would be interested in trading Tins for Orange/Black OR Yellow/Cream, but unless the trade included matching hard bags i would probably keep my national side bags
i may be interested in other two tones with black in them
i can email pictures upon request

This thread looks like the beginnings for a "NATIONAL TIN SWAP MEET" in the near future

Maybe a tin swap meet at InZane should be considered! JDW

It is nice to see that I am not the only one that has considered this.
Keep the thoughts flowing.
