I am looking at the National Cycle Hand Deflectors for winter driving.

Has anyone tried them, did they help to keep your hands warmer?

Would you recommend them?

Thanks

Love 'em.  They keep your hands warmer by keeping the wind off them.  I liked mine so much that I took them off my Ace Tourer a few months ago and will put them on my Valk next month.  If you go here http://forums.delphiforums.com/valkyrie/messages?msg=14037.1 you can read a whole discussion about it.

I've got them they block some wind and rain but don't buy them thinking you will have warm hands....Gerbings are the best money you can spend on keeping warm while ridin' in the cold.

I agree.  Warmer is relative. Warmer than without them.  Blocking the wind is big step to keeping your hands warm.

I have them and like them. The keep your hands out of the direct wind...

Like Joe sez, though: electric gloves are where it's at when it's really cold...

I have'm, I like'm  cooldude

Had to bend them up a bit.  The mounting haedware has them sit a bit low, was still feeling the cold wind.  Just bent them up a little and all is good.

There are also these larger ones available for the Valk: http://wingguard.net/ .

I don't personally have them, but a guy I ride with often swears by them.
