My tachometer light is out. And since these light are a tad too dim, I'll replace the tach and speedo lights if there is something just a little brighter. Obviously too bright isn't good.

What do people use aside from what Honda put in there?

'99 Tourer

Thanks!

Whatever you do...DO NOT GET RED you can't see it. I thought it would be great, my wife's Pontiac G6 GT is red...don't work on the Valk.

For those who still need them, these LED white 194 replacements are far brighter than OEM, and they last 25 times longer. https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/miniature-wedge-base/194-led-bulb-5-smd-led-tower-miniature-wedge-retrofit-car/206/919/

I installed mine with a pot to dial them up/down.  This is full - bright.  I bought 4 more to install in George and Deerslayer.

FWIW - I tried all the colors to evaluate what worked best. Also tried blue, green and black light. This is the red test.  As you can see - bad idea.

That got me thinking. I have 8 left over from my pack of 10. Hmmm. Where can I put them that will be really cool. Would just need some plugs and a little wiring. I wonder if there are covers for them with a choice of color.

Except when they die early. Get a spare, or two, in case you notice one is dimmer that the other. I've had a few that lost one or two elements for no apparent reason.

Another vote for LEDs.

Have them in my '99 Tourer's gauges. Much better than stock lighting.
