Hello so I know botto. Seal can be done as I have done those before. My question is they give o ring in kit to do seals uuner  eyelet anyone do those?

I was removing rear tire so I  took lower bolts out and started to lower tire and swing arm when shifter side shock fell apart. Top eyelet and approximate 6 inch threaded shaft stayed connected to bike. I called progressive they say catastrophic failure. Well I grab other shock and I can turn eyelet i can turn eyelet with my hand. So once again I call progressive and they say you should not be able to do that, so I ask if I replace those seals do I just tighten eyelet till it is tight, reply sir you need to send shocks to us as you should not touch that part unless you are authorized.

Sorry so long but I needed to ask before I start just diving in and seeing how they are assembled

Matt

They do come apart, but damper is a sealed unit and it is inside that were part failed

Don't dive in at all.  Once you do they probably won't honor the warranty.  Box them up and send them back.

I have a question.  Since the 444 is NOT listed as a shock for our beloved valkyrie, how woild you send back for warranty if something did go wrong??

What valkyrie?   They list the bikes they fit guess you own one of those. But then again they are listed on every site I have looked up as fitting  the valkyrie

I think if you have the receipt for new purchase, and send it and the worn out shocks in for warranty replacement, they'd just replace (or repair) it/them.

I doubt they'd ask what you were running them on.

I suppose if they did ask, it would be prudent to not tell them they were on a bike they (allegedly) weren't designed for.
