One of my Harley buddies has been bugging me to go on this ride for 3 years now. Hanging out with a bunch of Harley guys really isn't my thing, but we are going to go this year.

http://www.riverridersmc.com/34th-annual-friendship-run.html

He is really excited about coercing a Honda guy to go because evidently on the last night they torch an old "Jap Bike".  Shocked What the hell is wrong with them guys ?  Grin Any way everyone is invited. I think it's only RV or tent camping. I'm not sure if there is a hotel.

Last year they burned a vintage collector wing. I couldn't stand around and watch such stupidity. I'd stay home.

Agreed.  There are probably 1,856,012 things I would rather do.

Why be their "fall guy"?  This is not a group of motorcycle enthusiasts.  It's a group - club if you will - of people who  ride a particular motorcycle and fancy themselves "bikers".

I'm sure they will treat us fine. As to the type of riders they are, they vary. We won't be riding with them. Going up with a couple on a Yamaha.

WOW!! Do you think this club would take a KKK membership in trade for becoming one of them?  Grin They look like they may promote hate and discrimination under the disguised name of “The 34th Annual Friendship Run. How funny or sad is that???  Sad It just amazes me what people think is fun. In all seriousness, the fine folks that run this VRCC would never do anything like that and I personally would not be associated with a club that did.

Now.  if you want to see the flaming colors of a burning bike, why don’t you take a nice fall color ride to Colorado? I usually do my Annual Colorado fall color 4 day ride the same week as this event or you could hook up with Rockies Gold which is also the same weekend based out of Montrose CO or just do it on your own with your friends.  I could send you some nice routes. The mountains are just awesome that time of year and you won’t have to put up with the drunks and the smell of burning bikes.

Absolutely concur.  An early Fall Colorado ride versus ... well ... that would be a no-brainer.

Ah yes, The Colorado 4-Day...

I remember that ride from 2013.  One of the best of the Colorado 4 day. I had a great time that ride. We miss all the rain that was going on that year until we hit Pagosa Springs and than we paid the price, but it was fun.

I know right where that picture was taken on the Million Dollar HWY. Is that Sandy's Bike that is parked next to your Bumble Bee?

Well it looks like we won't be subjected to those Harley dudes after all. Brenda got pissed at my Harley buddy over something and doesn't want to go now.  Smiley
