this is a rear tire installed on front in reverse. It had Quad Boss sealant-balancer installed.
Just changed it out with 26012 miles on it, which is pretty good for a V-Rated tire.
This was at and below the wear bars.  It was still safe for wet conditions at 25500 miles which I actually rode in, was a lite rain, but tire still had good grip but stayed at reduced speeds.

Next tire will be Dunlop D404 H-Rated, same size and will install the same way.  Should see 40+k miles based on other riders.

 I just removed a 404 from you IS, I hated it.  Noisy, vibrated and cupped badly.  I also have one on my standard, same thing.  I replaced the IS tire with a bridgestone battleaxe,  much better.   I would stay away from the Dunlop.  YMMV.

  I'm surprised by your assessment.  I've put tens of thousands of miles on several rear Dunlop D404's, on the front, reversed, without  issue.

I have a 404 front on mine. Best mileage of all the tires ive had so far but id gladly sacrifice those few thousand extra miles ,the poor ride quality, insecurity i feel in turns and inclement weather, and the chunk of money i saved  for just about any other tire but a shinko 890.  The only other tire ive run i liked less than the 404.   Hope the rear on front works better than the front on front

I've been running the 404 Front on my Valk and love the tire.

Here is the mileage I changed the tires;
14838
14430
14432
16285
15674
There were 3 more I've logged 123k miles on the 404 Front.

it will be a rear 404 of front, not a front 404
