Quick [leading] question. . .  Roll Eyes

After 50,000 miles, I replaced my stock petcock with a Pingel "fuel valve" model 1311-CHV.  When I removed the the stock petcock I was surprised it was just a tube and valve on a 22MM mount.  Should there have been a screen or something like the Pingel, or did I leave a stock petcock remnant in my tank that could eventually cause a future fuel flow issue?

Thanks in advance for your input

If the tank is not completely full, just set it on the front end on a towel or blanket and pull the petcock.  I've done it that way a couple of times with out emptying it.

There's various channels and vents in the tank. I've set the tank on its end
a couple of times and a siphon effect turned my tank into a gasoline sprinkler.

However, when you set the tank back down flat hold your finger over the vent tube or gas will begin to siphon out. (Makes a neat looking fountain!)
