The 1985 GL1200 LTD was fuel injected and there was an '86 Aspencade.
The 1500 was never offered with FI.
The 1800 came standard with FI if I am not mistaken in 2001.

And in 2003, they rolled out the Valkyrie Rune, 1800 fuelie.  It was kind of a concept limited production bike;  expensive, with no storage, and didn't catch on.

I keep forgetting about the Rune. Almost never see one around here.

I've always thought they are the coolest bikes ever designed. If I didn't survive on butchers wages, I'd have one.  Smiley

Well, IMHO it was a better modernization of the valk than the F6C.

Mainly the single radiator, with no hulk hogan shoulder radiators/cowels.  I have never ridden a trailing-link suspension front end, but have read they are pretty good.  But I hate the rear fender.  And like the C, adding a shield or bags (or most anything) is a PITA (without a 2d mortgage to Corbin), and accessories and add-ons are slim.

However, $30K to $10K is a deal killer.

There was a couple of Runes for sale over here recently..... shame I couldn't afford one, They look better in person than pictures of them, I get to look over one on special fund raiser rides as a mate drags his out for those...... hardly uses it but then he has other custom bikes too and clocks up the K's on those Smiley

Fixed just slightly.  Wink

I bought a cherry black cherry 04' back in 08' I believe down in Clarksville Ind. at S&S Motorsport for 16K new out of the crate.  It's a helluva machine guys.  I sold it 4 years ago and recently bought a 99' go standard.  As far as power and handling I don't see that big of a difference really ?  The ride is a little stiffer on the Rune and had a 3 position adjustment on the rear shock but a softer setting turned the rear end to mush like getting a flat tire.
It was fun owning one and even the Harley guys were curious.  The seat was like a brick so I added an Ultimate and added a Switchblade shield for the cold weather.  I saw one just last week at a local Roll-In and the guy put Beetle Bags on it which made it look like a giant Vespa on steroids.
