I have done many searches and its unclear to me where the top carb vent manifold is plumed to. I would
think it would hook into the air box. I have also read the air box is plugged. Please help !

I don't recall touching any lines on the carbs. Have you checked this out ?

mine just sat in the round hole on the carb brace.... if its the hose I am thinking of

The top carb vent lines don't hook into anything, they are open to atmosphere, and need to stay that way for the carbs to function properly.  The ends of the vent lines go down through the two openings in the center of the front stay plate of the carburetor assembly.  If you search for the link to the pdf of the service manual on this site you will see the openings in the stay plate on page 5-17.

Dang down here in south Louisiana the dirt dabbers would love to plug it up. Might put some screen over the tubes. Thanks for the help!

I don't think so, it didn't have all the extra stuff. All the manifold vent lines are all tied in to a common tube with one connection to exit on each side.
