Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

I know when I did it on my IS, I found an article here that led me to something behind right side cover.  I am not having any luck finding the article again.  I want to put a relay to a fused block and need the key on power to flip the relay.   On a tourer where is the best place to tie into?

Done this relay to both my IS and VStrom but can not remember where I tied into the IS for the switched power.  Seemed like there was a switched wire not used or something under right side cover.

Strider ! You're back ! It's under the right cover. On mine it was tucked up in the top left corner kind of hard to find. If I remember 2 wires under one of those clearish rubber covers. I don't remember the wire colors.  Undecided A lot of the pics got toasted with photo buckets deal. I'll see if I can find something.

Edit: top right, not left.

Correct, you just got to rummage around to find it. Smiley

I think this was just brought up in another post tonight.

Light Green/Red is the power wire , green is the ground.

There's room for a fuse panel and a relay under the cover.  I also have relay for my Big BF Quad horns behind the battery.  I run all my accessories (except horn) to the fuse panel that is on/off with the key.  Last Sunday, guys I rode with, were talking about the shop wiring up an accessory plug that will run with the bike off.  Recipe for a dead battery if you ask me.
