Well it's Labor Day, and it wasn't planned that way that I would be finished with my project of three months and ride it for the first time on Labor Day, but that's how it worked and here's my labor.  And I was really torn on the Drifter Shifter and it works great and it is a blast.  Good call.

She is:  Long Cool Woman in Black Dress.

Hey Jerry that is really cool.
Where did the tail light come from?
Shifting looks like it could be a challenge at first if you went strictly with the hand shift.
She sure looks sharp cooldude

cooldude Very Nice.  Do the pipes do any muffling at all?  I bet it sounds impressive.  Are there any turn signals that I didn't notice or is it strictly the old arm out thing?

I like it .   cooldude

Personally, I'd yank the rear (OE) footpegs off (unless they're there in case of a short distance emergency back seater ride, with no seat).  Looks better with them gone.

I had a 1500 Mean Streak with the same voltage regulator in the same location/mount.  I took mine off (and the bracket too), fed one end the regulator through a long hose clamp and tied it around the swing-arm pivot underneath the frame.  It tucked right in (disappears), and still got plenty of airflow.  The relatively small distance (travel) the pivot moves never caused me any problems.  No rewiring necessary.

Where's the rear signals?

Winner winner chicken dinner.   cooldude You noticed one of my subtle twists.  The front aux lights are actually amber run and amber turn signals and the LED license plate frame has the rear turn signals.  I wanted it to be peroid correct and early rides you used hand signals.  Now, there is another egg hidden, has to do with Drifter peeps putting Indian decals on a Kawasaki.  Not my personal taste to put Indian stuff on a Kow even though it was a tribute bike by design.  The pipes have baffles and the people around my riding know I have wimpy ears.  Rev at idle is loud. Riding she is perfect, not too loud not too soft.

I bought a two up seat to take Sherry out so the pegs stay.  So says the boss.  2funny

Yes I see many mod posts on reg relocation and I have some ideas for another day

Signals.  (See follow up post about that)

Drifter Shifter is more of a novelty and is simply connected to the toe shift arm.  It is optional, many that have it, use it at traffic lights to go to N and then back to 1 on green light.  It was second nature immediately,  worked way better than anticipated and I like it better than I thought.

It looks like you just picked it out of the showroom. I love the tank badge and shifter option too. Out of the park grand slam. Taking Jacks idea of a picture in front of an old brick building one step further would be to get dressed in early era days of motorcycle riding. Sweet bike, great work can't wait to see it in person.

You know Jerry thats how it goes, when you get one bike done you begin to see all the possibilities of another bike. You have done a good job and kept the style consistent on this bike everything fits nicely.

Hey also hope and pray you are safe in this storm.

Very nice, Jerry!  A classic touch on a modern machine.  Sweet!  I agree about taking pictures in front of an old building or something.  Even some of the pictures that you posted are worth framing.  You know, I wasn't ever much for the blacked-out look, but it's starting to grow on me.  Recently, I saw FLRider's (Jack) blacked-out red Valkyrie and I was blown away.  And bright red is my favorite color.
