It was great! Took 1.5 hours at about 30 mph to get from Boston to viewing area at Stellwagan Bank. Seas were not choppy but rather slow rollers moving the catamaran style boat around. Total tour was about 4 hours - 3 hours to travel back and forth and about 45 plus minutes viewing.

We saw one humpback whale up close. He/She (?) must have done about 15 plus feeding dives close to and around the boat. Saw the head, blowhole, flippers and tail flukes quite clearly. No breaching, though, like you see in some whale watch advertisements. There were also two other humpbacks in the area. You could see the mist from the blowhole when they surfaced.
The guide said there was also a fin-back whale on the port side of the boat, which according to the guide are rarely seen in the area. I got a quick look and saw the fin on the back, but not much else.
I did not take pictures. I figured if I was fumbling around trying to get pictures, I'd actually see less. So sorry none to post.
Beautiful view of the Boston skyline on the way back. It was a great day!
