4 days and 17 hrs from 0100 Monday until 1700 this afternoon.  Not a fun week but we survived with no real property damage and the generator kept the refrigerator cold and the pump running off and on.  Tuesday had a tough time finding fuel but finally did get some in Gainesville.  Hope all have power by now and no damage.  Good to be cool again.

Watching the damage in the keys, wow, that could have been Sarasota! Crazy how this storm did its own thing.

It looks like if a couple trees about a half mile up the road from us hadn't blown over and taken the feeder line down with it, we never would have lost power. Once the trees were removed after the power company killed the power, all they had to do was repair the line in the area the tress had damaged it and we were back on. Believe it was yesterday we had a call from DD, just checking up on us. Hadn't seen her or Fred in ages it seems.

What a ride. Don't need another Irma dance any time soon.

Power on line as of 8:00 pm last night !!!!! 8 1/2 days was long enough. Quite a few folks around here without.

Still.....feeling blessed with virtually no structural damage. Only a months worth of tree work. They are great when supplying shade, not so much when they are laying all over the yard.
