Foliage season is rapidly approaching here (ugh !!)
Laurel and I were here last season and it is worth the
ride to the top (well manicured dirt road).
It's a privately owned mountain, and open to the public
for spectacular 360* views.  I think it's a $10 fee for each vehicle...
Quill Hill is located on Rt 16 maybe 5-7 miles east of Rangeley......
We are planning another ride over early October....

Kathy and I have been by the entrance a hundred times when we've stayed in Rangeley. We usually cruise 16 out to the Town salt yard and back to Rangeley looking for moose. Never disappointed.

Will keep track of foliage progress over there, and plan accordingly.  Last year
it was the second weekend of Oct, but all will depend on rain and wind from here on out.

I'll see what Mother Nature has for foliage plans Paul....
One good rain / wind storm could change all plans....
I'll keep a keen eye out for the progress and predictions....
