Don't like the dark background of this theme? You can change to the default light colored theme in your profile:
Profile -> Look and Layout Preferences -> Current Theme: Click CHANGE
Select the SMF Default - Core theme "Use This Theme"
Or
Select the Endless Multicolor theme "Use This Theme"
Would you like to sort the board by the date a Thread was started, instead of last post in a Thread?
Click on the header, "Started by" TWICE....
Are you enjoying a particular thread, and want to keep track of new posts in that thread?
While viewing the thread, click on Notify. Its right next to the Reply Button. To unsubscribe to a thread, go to: Profile -> Notifications and Email
Suggestion for keeping up with new posts.
Once I've read the threads I'm interested in, I click the "Mark Read" Button. That marks all threads as "Read". Now when I come back, only threads with new posts will be marked as new. This also helps you use the "Show unread posts since last visit." up at the top of the page. Everyone has their own method, this is just mine...
Wanna see who's replied to YOUR posts?
Try the "Show new replies to your posts." link way up at the top of the page.
When you post a topic or reply....
Don't forget the "Additional Options". Notification of replies is in there...
Edit your Profile!
Go to: Profile -> Forum Profile Information
Fill in the details. Put your birthday in, and it will show up on the calendar.
Upload an picture for an avatar. Add a signature. Tell us where you're from...etc
Feel free to add your tips.....

On most websites, holding down your Control key and pressing the "+" button will increase the font size on the screen. Ctrl and "-" reduce it.
Handy when I've misplaced my glasses .... again!

I was unable to find out how to search for posts by a particular user, so I went to the help forums for the software, and found: "People can find a member's posts this way: Click on "Members" from the main menu > Click on "Search for Members" > Type in the name > Click [username] from the list of results > Click "Show Posts""

Scott, this would probably be a good post to add at the top as a "sticky".
