Handcuff and search me PLEASE !

I recently did the Super Valk Mod to my ol girl and now with my full garage I'm looking for a creative  method of storage for the trunk when its not in use. I have seen racks built by HD to store their hard bags and trunk. So has anyone come up with anything they would like to share? Just to many toys and not enough room, horrible problem. Thanks

While I was rebuilding one of my Harleys I  have the trunk off in a tote. I just wadded up some news papers to cushion it. I put 2 bars of Dial soap inside it. (Could have used dryer sheets) Snapped the lid down tight and good to go. Harley tour packs aren't real big, but finding a tote big enough around here was a challenge.  Think I finally got it at Home Depot? ? Can't remember for sure? Make sure the lid is snapped down tight or you may have little critters.

If you have space on the garage wall, build a flat shelf which is deep enough to contain the trunk's entire length and width (thus protecting it).

Drill some 2x2x16" (rough) pieces of 1/8" aluminum angle stock so that the I/S' trunk mounting brackets may be fastened to them, and so that the angles can be bolted to the shelf. Measure and drill the shelf; attach angles.

Place trunk on the angles. Front two holes can be retained by pins of your choosing, and I'd use bolts, nuts and washers to secure the rear mount points.

Problem solved. Problem staying solved.  Cool

It looked big on the bike, but looks really big sitting in the garage. Thought it may fit in my trailer since I only pull it behind the bike a couple times a year, but its about an inch to wide. I was thinking next about hanging it on the wall with that 4ft  antenna hanging down or sticking out. I'm a pretty handy guy, I just know there is not much that a person could want to do with the Valkyrie that someone on this forum hasn't alredy delt with and conquered with style.

I took a metal rod and attached it between the wall cabinets on either side of a window.  I then hang the trunk by the 'Hooked' end of the trunk mounting bracket...

Easy to put up, and take down,  Sorry, no photos at this time.

Chip,
Don't forget that most of the Valkyrie Interstate antenna's have a provision to fold over. You unscrew the upper part of the base and slip the collar up and it will fold 90 degrees  so it would not be sticking out from the wall.

Black dog thats the kinda thing I was looking for simple and effective. And yes Jim C. I will have keep the antenna length when folded in mind to set the height from the ceiling to mount the rod.
