When I bought the bike from Bruce he gave me this clock to try to find a place to put it.  I finally came up with a connector that goes between the tach and speedo.  Really fit nice.  Also I wired it to only run while the ignition is on.  It will be the wrong time every time I get on the bike but the time is easy to set.

Hopefully Bruce will see this

Good idea on the clock power.  No need to install an electrical gremlin on purpose.   cooldude

It looks great!  Does the clock by chance have a light in it so you can see it at night?

Yes it is lit. I wired the light and clock power together. I had thought of keeping them separate and hooking the clock to the battery and have the light come on with the ignition but I didn't want the battery drain thing.

I really like the installation. As someone above said, it looks like it belongs there. However, I would be driven insane by the need to reset the clock every time I turned the key off.......  I would have the light on the ignition, but not the clock itself.

Was there any info on current draw? Seems like (manual moving arm) clocks around the house and office last quite a long time on a small battery.

Ya it was a dilemma for sure, and I may change it if it drives me nuts.  I did think of something though. If I want to record drive time on a long ride I could set it to 12:00 and then at the end of the ride it would show total drive time.

My wife says I have OCD.  Well let me tell you, the clock is mounted exactly in the middle between the speedo and tach.  Perfect!   Wink  I like it.

It's just a matter of math and careful cutting.  I like symmetry as well, thanks

I have even adjusted the spacers to make the mounting "bar" straighter
