Any GL1200 CB whip antenna will work. The coax lead, connector and mounting stud is also the same between these applications.

A GL1200 antenna mounting arm can be modified to work with the I/S. Search the Tech Board and the Tech Archives - should be some info on the subject around here.

Here's a link to an example part. Sierra and a number of others have these as well. eBay's yer buddy for used ones:

Antenna is not the problem, it's the mount.

What do you have, an IS or ?

Now that I own a GL1200 mount, and have a Valk CB ant, I will remove my radio antenna from it's mount, and place the CB one there instead, on the right side. I was a waist trying to figure out a mount for it.

Then buy an inexpensive AM/FM wire radio antenna, and hide it in my IS fairing ($7)

You can also use an AM-FM/CB splitter and the GL1200 CB antenna. Honda offered one as part of their Type II (GL1100) radio setup, and Sierra offers them as new products.

I had a CB/FM splitter on my bike, and the FM reception was terrible.  Never had a CB (just the antenna).

Therein lies the problem - both ports need to be terminated in their characteristic impedance (50 ohms) or you'll experience severe signal attenuation.

If you're simply looking to buy the part you indicate, post a wanted ad on our classifieds board; that's what it's for.
