Does anyone know what the difference is between the two baffles?  I have the 24 inch trombones and wondering if these can be modified into the silencers without too much hassle.  Any pics or advice greatly appreciated.

The trombones are made to bypass the glasspack and make the exhaust straight through, or you can cut the trombones to tune the exhaust to the sound you like.
The silencers quiet down those glasspacks.

I guess you could weld up the end of the trombone, drill a bunch of holes like a baffle.

Others have tried that.  It doesn't work. I even have some of them here that were attached to customer pipes after they attempted it then sent the exhaust to me to be done properly. The bones and silencers have opposite purposes and so are completely different in design and application. The bones function to defeat the glasspack's muffling while the silencers are positioned downstream of the glasspacks to supplement the glasspack with more muffling.
