I'm looking at purchasing a used set of OEM exhausts for my 1998 Tourer. I just want to confirm that the Interstate uses the same exhaust just different tips. I have the standard tips for the Tourer so that's not an issue.

Yes, and no.

Exhaust are inter changeable. The tips aren't.

The 3 piggies on the std/tourer come out vertical, and the IS are horizontal. I'm currently driving with std/T exhaust on my IS.

I think the piggies and extension are a little longer on an IS.

Standard/Tourer tips have 2 screws and the I/S has a third that uses one of the piggies to mount to. I have this I/S exhaust on my Tourer with Airflo tips and I like the sound this set up gives me.

Both types have a screw into one of the piggies. The exhausts are interchangeable except for the piggies & tips.
