I like that it is 90 lbs lighter, but looks like less wind protection.  I would have preferred a longer range, instead of the smaller fuel capacity.  Storage capacity has shrunk from 150 litters down to 110 litters.  The electronics look good and the front suspension shows promise.  I do like the electric windshield.  I have been thinking of getting a Goldwing this coming spring.  $15000 for a good used one or $30,000 for a new one?

The new one has a few niceties but remember that folks are still touring on 1100's.  I would watch the classifieds for the latest model 1800. You might just get some nice Farkles....
Here's one only needs Hwy Pegs and a CB..

I hadn't read about the reduction in storage space until you mentioned that. That surprises me. But it's pretty close to what we have now with our Interstates. The 90 lb. weight reduction is pretty amazing really. When we rented the GoldWing in NY last year I was pleasantly surprised at how nimble and light it felt compared to my Interstate. The new ones must feel like a crotch rocket. Looking forward to your new bike John, whichever year you go with.  cooldude
