Bikers don't need shrinks!

Colleyville, TX

WWW
« on: November 02, 2017, 09:13:51 AM »

For those who are available a week from tonight for our monthly DFW are meeting, post up where you would like to meet with the following criteria.

- Good Food
- Reasonably convenient from all parts of the metromess
- Enough space
- You will be there (yes, we had one guy making suggestions about what he wanted, but knew he wasn't coming). I suppose we can suspend this one if you have a fantastic idea for the rest of us that you just won't be able to enjoy with us.

I'll be out of touch for a couple of days, so post up soon, discuss and flame each other, and I'll jump back on later.

Enjoy this great riding weather!

Where'd old times go?

  It WAS great riding weather.

Lori and I rode to "wide awake" Wylie for breakfast then went for a leisurely 90 mile tour to the north and circled back home JUST before it got up to 89 degrees  Cool

A few days ago I rode by a place the club used to meet for breakfast.

Tierney's in Lewisville.  We met there a few times over the years.  I assume it's still good.  Undecided

+0 on this one.  Won't be able to attend which apparently disqualifies me from suggesting a meeting location!

Sheesh, what a tyrant!   Wink

The Grapevine / DFW Airport area is convenient for me.

Personally I think they meetings should rotate around the metromess and not just in Grapevine every month, Grapevine is not convenient for everyone.

I would second Tierney's in Lewisville due to the fact I don't have a better suggestion.

Back in town and it looks like we have two for Tierney's and it is reasonably central to the metromess.  The address is  208 E Main St, Lewisville, TX 75057

Post up for a headcount.  7:00 to eat. 8:00 for the official meeting portion.

And, if you have ideas on topics for discussion at the meeting, post them or bring them with you.

Good food and company in Lewisville last night. That cold air felt good riding home.

Always good to see our resident author in the house. Good stories from bikes to hunting and all around.  Interesting to see the poker games going on and getting the scoop on that.

Have a great riding weekend.

Gary made good -early on- suggestion...  wore my leather jacket!  cooldude

It was a little cool but actually it felt great after having been on several rides this summer when it was 90 degrees plus.

Enjoyed seeing everybody again and the food was as good as I remember.   ESPECIALLY, since there No Smoking went into effect.  Smiley

Pics don't tell everything but you might make out in the background of one pic showing the small dining area in the bar where the Poker Tables are!   Legal poker!  Not sure how or what but they have Texas Hold em three nights a week. (none of us participated).

Gary, Randall, Disco and I had just finished ordering our food when we looked up to see Daniel walking up to the table.

HOLY CRAP!  Actually, it took me few seconds to recognize him.  He has lost some more weight since I last saw him about a year ago.

Daniel, looks fantastic!!  GREAT JOB!  cooldude cooldude
