Yep, did a couple of Flrider mods. They both can be seen in the first pic. Can you name them both? Well I put all the goodies back on her just the way I bought her. I do like the change and the look. Upgraded my speakers all the way around with the Polks DB 501's. Love the sound. Still on the fence about adding an amp. Added a Stebil compact horn under the swingarm and a couple aux outlets. Starter took a crap on me. Hopefully thats all it is. I should be up and running for the Pizza Party..

I have only heard of one actual starter problem in 15 or so years. Usually it is either the starter button contacts or the wiring underneath the right side cover at the main fuse/relay.

+1, these starters, like the motor, are pretty much bullet proof. You need to do some checking before you pull the starter....that's not a piece of cake. Is it possible you have a hydrolock? Pull the plugs and see if the engine will turn over, if so....hydrolock.

His starter has been real noisy for a while, hoping the reduction gears in the starter have gone. But will find out when I pull it off, hoping non of the gears in the motor are bad.

I Have A Parts Starter If Needed ! The Lead Band That Connects To Two Of The Brushes Is Burnt, The Rest Looks Good.

The sleek shield is one. I love the look of it and height. 11.5". I got mine off Amazon for $55.00. Thanks to Jack for the great write up with pics.

I also added a pair of Rivco turn signal mirrors. Really liked Jacks alot!! They have red LED's blinkers on the mirror side and yellow run/turn on the front side.
