Need someone to do some checking on their installation if you can get to it. What I need specifically is when the key is on and the CC is turned on, what voltage reading do you get at the purple wire. I have LED turn/stop lights so mine is grounded through a relay, it reads 5vdc which seems low to me but have no idea what it was when first installed.....10 years or more ago.

Well, guess I'm SOL. Did all the voltage checks and seemed to be in line according to all the material I've been able to find. As a last resort I hooked the purple wire directly to ground and still no engagement so unless someone has a suggestion I guess it's time to go looking for a replacement. Guess I sold the ones I had a few months too soon, who would have known I was going to need one. Kinda negates my riding to the pizza party, don't really want to ride the 1200 but guess I could.

I recall there have been threads about this and one of the culprits was corrosion in the control pad.

Hey John, I got one of your units but then decided that I did not want it so I passed it on to another rider. Hope you get to the bottom of this so we can see you at the Pizza Party. If not you can cage it, we can make find you a parking spot.

Today I removed the innards of the servo and after cleaning the solenoid channels for the plungers, there was no difference. So, I removed the guts again...circuit board and solenoids, and left the body in place. Plugged the vacuum line, taped over the connectors and closed it up. I'll ride it without CC for the time being while I do some wiring clean up. Once done with that, I'll reinstall the guts of the servo and see what happens. If it works....fine, if it doesn't....then go looking for a replacement. Murph's Kits sells them but he's selling the same unit for substantially more than it was originally. In the mean time, I should be able to ride, just no CC.

John I have one somewhere that I took off the Interstate before I sold it. It wasn't working either before I removed it, you are welcome to try it and see if it helps your problem. I also have a new one in the box. This one won't be free but looks like they are being sold for $175. Mine didn't cost that much, honestly don't remember what I paid but if you need it we can work something out.

It may simply be a wiring problem, I'll know in the morning. The only wiring change I made was when I installed a new self-canceling Penta Star item. It allowed me to remove the load equalizer but I didn't check the CC operation until just a few days ago, I did the wiring a few weeks back and everything else works fine. Before I order another load equalizer, I went to a surplus store here in Wtr. Pk. and picked up a couple 100 ohm/ 10 watt wire wound resistors to attach in parallel to the two turn signal wires. If that works, I'll leave them in while waiting on a new equalizer. I've already removed the guts to the servo, disassembled it and cleaned the three solenoids in it. The channel the solenoid slugs move in were a bit on the cruddy side so got that cleaned up with some alky. Then tested each one with some jumpers to the individual tabs....got good action this time, you could hear each one positively clicking open/shut.
I installed the resistors this evening in a haphazard method, just enough to test the CC operation on a spin around the block. Problem....I had a couple visitors that wanted to chat. Seems whenever I want to get something accomplished I need to keep the garage door shut, otherwise folks see the door open and it's time to chat. I'm OK with that, but it delayed things until after dark and I want full daylight during a test ride in case of problems.
PS: The 1200 is up for sale, check the Orlando CL under either Gold Wing or Goldwing. I used both spellings to cover the waterfront so to speak.

Glad to hear you solved the puzzle. That makes waiting on the part a bit easier.
