I did an internet search for black Loctite super glue and only came up with it being available online.

the product I found was Loctite 380. It seems to be a rubberized super glue product.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever used it or found it in a walk in store.

I'm using it for my Ultimate seat which has the slot for the driver's backrest and the small piece of leather which has the Velcro that attaches to the seat when the backrest is not used. The Velcro released from the leather cover so I need to reattach it, no big deal.

I contacted Ultimate and their recommendation was the black Loctite super glue.

I searched around on a few websites to see if any stores carried it but came up empty so before I go running around from store to store I thought I'd ask if anyone has ever used it/found it in a name brand retail store.

online it sells for about $5-$6 (for a small tube) but shipping ranges from $6-$11. I don't "need it" today, it's not that pressing an issue.

Thanks,

Mike

I don't have an answer to your specific question and don't claim to know better than Ultimate.

However, I have found that "Shoe Goo" is readily available in many places and I have used it in several applications other than what it's sold for. It is tough and durable and adheres to most fabric/leather materials. It remains flexible when cured.

I'd be surprised if it wouldn't work well for your application if you can't find what you're looking for.

Shoe Goo is marketed as repair adhesive for footwear. cooldude

I would also consider contact cement.

Here is what you want.  3M 08008 Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive Tube - 5 oz.
Should be available at autozone, wally world, pepboys and any autoparts store.  Tough stuff. This stuff remains flexible and will glue anything.  Make sure you get the black as they make it in yellow also.

E 6000 is an industrial strength adhesive sold at Lowe’s and other good hardware stores.  It comes in black or/and clear.  Stays flexible and is working very well on my pillion seat.  As others have said, shoe goo is also a great choice for long lasting flexible strength.

Yes, I have used it. Very good stuff. Back when I bought it the stuff was known as Black Max.
Loctite 380.
