My Achilles tendon feels much better, since I mashed the big toe on the same foot and tore half the toe nail off. I gotta find some new cuss words, used all I know right now.  tickedoff

Dang dog ran between my legs after a cat, I fell and grabbed for the bench and knocked a 30 lb rotary vise off the bench on my toe. And the dang dog missed the cat.

I am looking forward to be retired and no one is making it sound like I hope it will be, maybe I should be grumpy.

Sorry your pain is such a funny good story.

Think of it this way, if you didn't have bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all.

Reminds me of the time I cut my fingertip off in a chipper.  It was sewed back on and still healing and mighty tender when I cut the same finger nearly to the bone with a utility knife (one joint below the stitches from the previous wound) trying to fix old electrical under the kitchen sink.  My mom and dad were visiting, so I had to watch my language.  It didn't hurt that bad (nice clean cut, unlike the chipper wound), but needed a couple stitches to properly knit.  Who would have believed I'd get the same intern in the emergency room who had sewed on the finger tip a month earlier?

First he congratulated himself on the good work he had done a month earlier (it was good work), then he told me..... Jess, you know if you don't want that finger I can take it off for you with a lot less pain and suffering than you have been inflicting on it.

Everyone's a comedian.

I can laugh about it.... now.

Take care of yourself Bill.

My wife keeps telling me I am an accident looking for a place to happen. I should have went with your doctors suggestion, take it off. My left toe has been broke twice, once dropped a tractor wheel on it, last time broke it in the motorcycle wreck, and this time mashed the same dang toe.

Just an idea.  If the cat and dog are going to rough house, don't let them in any work area, at least while you're working in it.  There's enough opportunity to get hurt out there, without their assistance.

If your eye (or toe) offends thee, pluck it out.     That's just crazy talk. Grin

Doc says the nail needs removed.  Maybe so, but ask him if that gets classified as (OPT) surgery for insurance purposes, and how much it pays.  I hate being suspicious of this stuff, but even when (all or mostly) covered, some little procedures become gold mines, and makes me wonder if they are really necessary.  (My smashed finger/toe nails came out all by themselves..... when they were ready.)

I fell off my ladder today.  Fortunately, it was only my 4-foot one, and the ground broke my fall.  coolsmiley

Try a different language, if they don't understand it they won't know your targeting them. My father inlaw had some great Greek words he would shout out and make me laugh.
I hope you feel better soon, maybe see you on Saturday.

No worries on the podiatrist, I get 4 visits a year, no chg over the $30 copay.  My little dog hates cats, and a stray wandered into the shop, I fell trying to avoid stepping on the dog, probably a good thing, every time we visit the vet seems like it is always $400 or more. My toe is cheaper  uglystupid2
