Well after listening and reading all the comments, suggestions and preferences re CT I ordered my first one. Went with the Champiro 205/60/16 which should be in Tuesday. I went with that size since I read here it was the closest is size to the stock MT. My only question now is, I ride 2 up 95% of the time with a full Saddleman bag on trips, what would the recommended air pressure be and will the mod on the fender nut removal be the only requirement. Have stock I/S shocks that are fairly new on my 97 Standard. Any other suggestions appreciated.

You pretty much have it. Nut cage mod is advisable. You could install the tire and leave shocks off to check clearance by jacking the tire up to see if it clears the cage. If you have room.  You are good to go. Cage mod could still be done . Follow torque  and install procedures.

Try starting at 38 psi for 2 up.I'm a big bulky bastard and 34 psi seems to have worked for my Champiro. I started at 42 psi for the first couple of thousand miles but that took too much tread off the center of the tire.

Put a strap over the bike as well. Remove side panels and seat.

CAUTION.

Remove side panels carefully. Pull outwards from the rear. Gently! There's 2 grommets to pop off.

Then slide out from front tab. Gently!

Be equally gentle when putting them back on.  cooldude

I still use jack stands as don't have enough paint cans sitting around nor scrap lumber.   2funny 2funny
