Timbr,
You ain't seen nothing like the moonlight over Zug Island.
The moonlight filtering through the smoke from the smokestacks casts an erie orange glow.
And if your really listening closley,...you might hear the sound of a liquor bottle breaking off the bridge pilings.
The smell of diesel fuel permeates the night air, even stronger than the stench of the rotting carp along the shoreline.

Ahhhh,...the memories!

you meet the nicest people in Michigan.
Several years ago I was in Mackinaw City and see a black I/S parked.
while looking at it and talking to another rider out of the store walks the owners.
After a few words we realize we both are on the board and when we mention our screen names we automatically know each other.
that was probably 7 years ago and we've been friends from that first meeting.
honda had it right when they said you meet the nicest people on a honda.
that is so true when it comes to Gilligan and Navigator.......they don't come no better people than they are.

Yeah, you have to actually see Zug Island to appreciate it.  I spent 10 Summers working steeplejack painter, sandblasting and sheeting in that hellhole.  One of the filthiest places on earth.  Paid my way thru school though

Pic of the big Ed Fitz at the ore docs on Zug (I sandblasted and painted those rolling cranes, while they were in use and moving).
