I know a number of folks who have upgraded to the braided stainless brake and clutch lines, but found the OE throttle cables to be superior in function to the braided stainless throttle lines (even though they look better).
One of my bikes came with all braided stainless lines, but OE throttle cables. A bit too long in the brake lines may not be problem, but it may be a problem with the throttle. Nothing quite like a throttle cable stuck or sticking in the wide open position for excitement.
I'm just sayin'

Every time I find myself helping someone along roadside turning the push cable into a pull cable,It's a braided cable. The oem cables are excellent. Changed mine at 120k just for peace of mind and they looked terrific,no fraying at all.
If you really want that look try finding covers for the oem.I wouldn't hit the road with less.
