Gloomy day, did some work on the bike

Took the tank off (first time since installing the Pingel). WOW so much easier since the fuel line was a tad too loose on the Pingel, so I used a screw type hose clamp on it. Now it literally jumps off by itself now as soon as I loosen the screw, and then theres just the vent line and off goes the tank.
Took the tank off to install the pre filter to the K&N to see if it will run a little less lean. Now I was very happy to see lots of dust on top of the K&N filter, on top means it didnt go in the motor. The inside of the box was a little wet with drool, but it was always that way from day one even with a Honda filter.
So, Im thinking all is good in Valkyrie land as far as air filtering goes
Installed the pre filter and fired her up....didnt sound any different, but we shal see in a few miles how the plugs look
I did notice a third set of clamps concerning the air intake system that for some reason I have never noticed before. With the tank off you can see clamps that hold the air tubes coming off the air box to the carbs. Tighten them. ( mine werent very loose but there was a couple Im glad I checked and tightened) Those clamps plus upper and lower clamps on the intakes makes three sets of clamps (18 screws) to keep up with. I feel these are culprets to some of the decel popping we have had at one time or another.

After a round the town test ride I cannot tell any difference, runs as perfect as it always has, but I think it will darken up the plugs a tad. Ya gotta love these bikes. 110K miles and if you told me it was brand new, Id believe it the way she runs and functions in every way. WOW

Glad all was/is well
I gotta do some reading up on the different options for the fuel petcock as I think I still have the stock setup. Too many options confuse me.
