Clearview vent poll

So far the comments I've heard are half good and half bad. Time for a poll.

I like mine,but nothing helps when the temp. is in the 90s except speed.

i got my clearview shield with a vent two weeks before inzane 9. went from stock shield -2" to a clearview GT3 +5" taller +1" wider

the vent helps in hot weather , the only down side is that bugs splatter all over you as they get sliced by the vent

dont ask why i know this but, if you see a bug coming at you toward the vent make sure your mouth is closed Grin

I have a Clearview with a vent. I also have Baker Airwings. Wether the vent is open or closed I can not tell any difference. The Airwings are what make the difference for me.

Vent open + bakers open make for max airflow. Expecially for rider as the vent hits right at the top of your chest at max open and pushes nice breeze up around your head. cooldude

The only differance i notice is during the wintertime. With the vent open there is enough air flow that it makes its way to the helmet. This goes up up the front vent and keeps my face shield from fogging. Other than that that is the only advantage.

I had a larger than stock (+6H) Clearview with vent on a different bike. Opening the vent was more for reducing the vacuum (backpressure?) behind the larger shield. With it closed I could feel the air behind me pushing me forward. I didn't feel any cooling difference though.

The vent (on a different bike) gave me the option of more or less air. It also slices and dices the bugs so they are easier to digest, as compared to being hit by a completely intact bug at speed. Ymmv,
