Robert, I followed your advice and purchased a set of  Michelins today.  I will be due for tires when I put the Valk on the road in the spring and J&P Cycles was having a sale- 35% off.  I got the front- Pilot Road 4 Trail for $165.99 and the rear- Piolot Road 4 GT for $196.99.  Was that a good price?? J&P advertised an extra $45 off on orders over $300, but when I entered the promo code, I did not get the $45 discount. I called their customer service- they said tires were excluded from the discount  (of course). They were nice about It- $20 off the order and of course free shipping. So if any of you guys want to pull the trigger on some new Pilot 4's, this seems to be a good deal. But then again, with Michelin coming out with the 5's, maybe in a month or 2, the 4's will be even cheaper!

You did good Bill  cooldude cooldude

The price is about what I pay sometimes a little more sometimes a little less. As for the 5's I think it will be a bit longer especially for the rear.

Dont forget in your purchase of the tires it has become your responsibility to post a ride report and say what you think of them when you put some miles on them  Wink

Bill,
You are going to love these, I put the GT versions on my KTM and have about 1000 miles on them so far. Rode in the rain the other day (rare in Mesa) and they were great...let us know how you like them. I hot mine from a local bike shop that price matched an online store...
