more info will come soon. I've only been to one so far. But, it's not a huge event with thousands of bikes, vendors, spectators. It's about 300 Valkyrie friends getting together riding and BSing.

Welcome Galex  cooldude Check the FL Board occasionally. This topic has been addressed recently. I'm in the Pan-handle but know several from South/Central looking to make the trip. I hope to meet up for the ride or ride back with a few of these guys. GZ = ground zero, where the group will be hasn't been announced yet. It will be a great time of year and fine area for rides. See you there!  coolsmiley

thanks!  I'm actually planning out yearly family summer vacation in the mountains and decided to take us all to Roanoke and I will be bringing my bike along to partake in the InZane event while we are there...

10-15 June - Roanoke, VA from New Hampshire?  You know... this is actually a viable option.  Time to talk to "She who will be consulted" to discuss my potential road-trip.  Grin

I too am looking for more information on Inzane in Roanoke. What motels are best in that area? I too am looking to plan ahead and would definitely appreciate any info I can get. Thanks!

Pretty soon the registration info will come out. It will have a link to the hotel where we will all stay. In my opinion, it's the place to be. Hanging out with the other Valkyrie riders is most of the fun of it. It wouldn't be near as fun to be at a separate hotel.  cooldude

The Host Hotel, GZ, is kept private. This is how this Board stays up, with the registration fees for the annual IZ rally.

We need to fill the spaces at the hotel. They only way to know it's been filled by a VRCC member is when they register, they get an ID # which is given to the GZ Hotel and you then get the discounted member stay rate.

If everyone went their own way, to other hotels, then we wouldn't get the turn out, the influx of funds to the Board, and other ways would be needed to be found to get funds (like our annual calendar sales also).

Volunteers come forward, and offer their expertise/time to host how-to or demo. Then you meet up with others, and arrange group rides.

I've only been to 2 IZ, Billings and Spearfish. But it sounds like some venders do show up on the East Coast.

But we still got Big BF, and others, who do come with their wears to peddle to the crowds. Raffle (door prices, donated) and 50/50 tickets are sold. Monies are raised for a local charity.

A good time was had by all.

Did I miss anything, or explained it wrong?  Smiley

Doesn't matter what you ride, just that you do.

Thanks for the info.  I was at Billings.  Was spearfish the prior year?  That would have been even better.  Smiley  Trying to figure out how to get to roanoke.  Smiley

I guess that explains why I can never find information about the event.  I have only been to one because I was going to be in the area.  I would have been to several but I could never find out ahead of time exactly where and cost of lodging.  I NEVER take a trip that I don't know all details ahead of time.

I believe all of them have been $100 or under a night. I'm sure the planners do their best to provide the best event at the best price at the best place.
