Say a prayer for me and wish me luck, guys.  I took a spill on my Valk on November 11, 2017 and broke my left clavicle.  I had to have a titanium plate and screws installed as it was broken into 3 pieces.  Like John Schmidt says "We are not as young as we used to be".  A few weeks after surgery, I had 23oz of fluid buildup removed from my left hip due to internal injuries in that area.  Well the fluid is back, so early tomorrow morning, I have surgery to have it drained again and whatever they have to do internally to keep it from happening again.  Since surgery on my left clavicle and in a sling for 6 weeks, I  have lost a lot of strength in both arms, wrists, and hands.  I can't even squeeze the clutch lever!  I started therapy for my shoulder, and they say I'm doing great.  But now this hip thing!  I do start the Valk up at least once a week and just today I backed it out into the driveway and washed it off for the first time since the accident.

Thanks guys, for all your thoughts and prayers.  Surgery went well yesterday morning.  Smiley  It took a little longer than expected, but the Orthopedic doctor/surgeon we have is great and thorough.  I have a drain tube coming out my leg to catch any fluid that may build up and it should be removed tomorrow if all goes as planned.  I just need to take it easy for a while longer and continue to do my shoulder therapy.  I plan on working hard to get my strength back and hope to be stronger than before the accident.  Yes Chris, that first ride will be great!  cooldude   I can't wait.

Glad to hear the surgery went well. Stay with the rehab therapy and you'll be taking that first ride soon.

Best of luck on the recovery, and NO INFECTIONS. Keep it as clean as possible, and hope the hospital did too. Like was already said, take any therapy they offer.
