Need help finding or making a carb stay plate torsion spring for my 98 tourer. It popped off and disappeared in the garage during work. Still looking for it, but meanwhile I tried to buy one. It is part 5 on the carb parts diagram. Appears to be unavailable and I couldn't find an old one either. I assume I can bend a suitable spring to work but I have no idea how hot to heat it without ruining it. Any help appreciated!

Thanks but that is not the right spring. I need #5 on the carb assembly diagram. However, if you happen to know they are the same as 6 & 7 by all means let me know. I believe 6&7 are heavier but I will definitely look. But I sure am not going to take one off!

Yeah Ok, you need part number 16051-MZ0-000. If you google search it you'll see a couple of parts houses in Europe that 'might' have it, but I couldn't find it anywhere else. That could be pricey if they have it at all. I'd be tearing my shop a apart to find it ...
