Ha  Sad my first that was 6 oil filters. Then figured you're talking about air filters for on the carbs to look like they are each sucking air from there.

Pictures would be nice.

I can't suggest, since I don't know what might last longer, or which would allow future removal, but would like to see how you end up. 3M double sided tape sounds like another method, thin trim version.

agree 3M double sided tape would be easier and better than any glue/caulk or chemical compound on HOT engine block.  That stuff sticks fairly well.

I pried off some old double sided tape plastic lettering from previous owner on my chrome plastic side covers and that crap was VERY HARD to take off had to heat it up and use dental floss to scrape it off gently and took forever, then read up on removing residue of tape compound that was still on plastic chrome piece and either used peanut butter or nail polish remover and even that took forever to get that chrome plastic side cover cleaned up looking good.

for 10 bucks each being 60 total is not too bad considering those all chrome (open top) velocity stacks are 200 bucks or so unless can find a good used set someone willing to part with for under 100 bucks total for all 6...
