Here is the article/blurb in the paper....Cheers and Jeers section...

JEERS . . . to the Westboro Baptist Church contingent that plans to protest Saturday in Painesville near the funeral of Marine Lance Cpl. David Baker, who was killed Oct. 20 in Afghanistan. Followers of the Kansas church are infamous for ill-mannered public displays blaming homosexuality for every personal and national calamity, however ridiculously unrelated.

unbelievable.... tickedoff tickedoff

I hope our PGR brothers in Ohio keep these yahoo's at bay...

Prayers from NJ sent out to Lance Cpl. David Baker and his family.

If any of the Valk Riders can be there...support the PGR and those that protect us from the evil in this world.

The PGR has been invited to attend the services.

The PGR mission thread http://www.patriotguard.org/ALLForums/tabid/61/forumid/11/tpage/4/view/Topic/postid/1261472/Default.aspx

LCpl Baker's family will be in good hands surrounded by good people.

Do like we do here in Iowa.

We form a FLAG line between them and the Funeral party, also they can not get closer than 700' to the Funeral Party.     That is usually clear across the road and in a ditch.............................

Just a few words of advice from someone who is too close to those Wako's...

Phelps and the Westboro fruitcakes are looking for publicity and income... Do not confront them, Do not come into physical contact with them. Half of them are attorneys and they are itching for a lawsuit to confirm their 'rights' and a payout to fund their blasphemy.

Gunslinger, the Patriot Guard policy is NO confrontation, physical or otherwise.  The PGR and any supporting organizations; Leathernecks, Combat Vets, VRCC, etc; form a human wall to shield the Family and Mourners from the UGlies (Unwanted Guests).  All the other clubs and organizations realize the PGR is in charge and act accordingly.  No one wants to make things worse for the Family.

Posted this on the Ohio board:

Everthing was under control. The Leathernecks had it all under control, the Patriot Guard had it all under control. I contacted the PG and found that this was a confirmed ride. They had it all arranged ahead of time. I was honored to be able to meet them at the funeral home, ride with them to the church, and the cemetary. Hundreds of people along the way and at the church. Flags and signs of support. I never saw a protestor, and I'm sure the family didn't either. Police, Fire, Marines, a huge turnout to lay this young man to rest. The day was cold and gray, wet and dreary. But dozens of bikes, crowds along the way, people stopping their cars watching with their hands over their hearts, people saluting and waving flags made it worth while. One of the most moving rides I've ever been on. Thank you all.

Doing this can be even more meaningful for those who ride Valkyries

Valkyrie -- In Germanic religion, any of a group of maidens sent by Odin to select slain warriors worthy of a place in Valhalla. They rode to the battlefield on horses or, in some accounts, flew through the air and sea. Some had the power to cause the death of warriors they disliked; others guarded the lives and ships of those they favoured. According to various myths, they were either purely supernatural or human with supernatural powers; they were associated with fairness, brightness, and gold as well as with bloodshed.

It is always a great Honor to be a part of such PGR missions.
