Hey guys! I’m new here , but not to riding. I just aquired a ‘99 road rashed Interstate with only 10,700 miles on it for $2150! She hadn’t run in a year and a half since he slid her on her good looking, but rock hard 2001 vintage tires... I have her running now, but I need to rebuild and reseal her carbs. I already got the needles and am waiting on Redeye’s seals and desmog kit to arrive. Once I do the carbs, I’ll put some tires on her. A new windshield has also been ordered because the road rash is right at my eye level. She had the 2 brothers 6 into 6 exhaust installed on her and I am pretty sure she wasn’t jetted. The previous owner still had the stock exhaust, so I put that back on. The 6 into 6 sounded good, but I need to preserve what is left of my damaged 50 year old hearing.

This is my question. I am inseam challenged at 29” and stand on the balls of my feet on her. I have already ordered lower Progressive rear shocks, but I want to know if anyone around here has an aftermarket lower seat you wouldn’t mind letting me sit on to feel before I order one? Right now I’m leaning towards the Saddlemen Explorer with backrest. I need a backrest because of my spinal issues.
Suggestions?
