I was wondering if it’s possible to put bar end mirrors on the Valkyrie. I saw in the service guide where it talked about an internal weight. I only have experience with sport bikes and coupons that are completely hollow. Do the end caps just pop of on our grips? Any advice greatly appreciated.

The left side grip cap is a screw in, the right side is one piece(grip and cap). That is is first problem.
As for the weight I have not tried to remove them, so do not know.

I took the weights out when I changed my handlebars.  I don't notice any difference.  I changed my grips to Avon grips and I used their cramp buster, but I could have left the ends clear.  I don't know if you could use bar end mirrors with the OEM grips, but if you changed them, then I don't see an issue.

I was wanting to change my grips as well so that would be possible if I just get ones with open ends. Do you like the Avon’s then? Did you end up putting weight back in or no? And you didn’t think it changed any feel or vibration?

The Avon grips are great and a lot better than the OEM grips.

Yes, our bars are 1".
