.....Hi everyone, my right front fork seal is leaking.  I am pretty handy and thanks to this site and you guys I have been doing all my own work on the valk up until this point.  Scale of 1-10, how tough is the job?  How much would a mechanic charge me to fix?  Are there local mechanics (Boca Raton, FL) that would want to do the job?  Basicaly just trying to figure out the best way to get this problem fixed.  Also, I seem to remember that a special tool is needed, does anyone know where I can get my hands on one?

Any advice would be much appreciated.  Looking forward to you all chiming in.

Best

Have you tried sliding some 35mm film up and down the fork seal to clean out any debris that may be in there?

You might be lucky and this could stop the leaking.

Scale of 1 to 10. I would say about a 5. Its not that hard. And if you are just replacing the seals and bushings. You don't need the special socket for the top of the left shock... Always replace the bushings when replacing the seals!!! cooldude
If you are handy. This is a can do job for you....

I made a description of how I did it: http://www.valkyrienorway.com/forksprings.html

Difficult? No, I would give it a 3
