I think I'm going to sell my Valk and buy an F6B Deluxe. My Valk has been good to me but I think it's time to get something that's a little easier to maintain. The F6B seems to be the only bike that I can sit on comfortably with out to much modification. Dennis says he'll help me put on a CB. Mine has a 164000 miles so I'm sure I'm going to have to let it go cheap. I also have a lot of extra parts to sell as well. It should be interesting to see how long it takes to sell or I even thought about parting it out. That would be a lot of work though. Anyway I'll let you know how it goes. Hopefully I'll have it in time to take it to InZane.

I don't know as I'm looking for a good used one. Anything but white for sure.

I didn't have anywhere near your mileage Dave, but I sold my Valk a month ago to a buddy. I'm looking for a lighter bike and plan on selling the dual-sport too. Old age is such a bitch.

Dave It was hard for me to give up my Valk when I bought my first GL1800, but I don't regret it. I still have all the great memory's and pictures of rides that I have taken on the Valk. I can see you riding an F6B and I think you would enjoy it. I'm sure Dennis can or has given you all the plus and minus of that bike. Well congratulation on whatever your decision will be.

Dang, I'm sorry to hear this George. You've still got the Spyder though.

We need to get another forum....Used to Ride a Valkyrie.......too nice a group to not get together and ride whatever, whenever.
Wonder if I will ever get off my butt and get mine running well enough to sell.

Kind of a sad moment when she's being considered to be let go. Even sadder, as you mentioned, the sellers market on her. I had dropped the price a couple of times on mine and ultimately glad to be able to hand my IS off to my son.
If nothing else, any easily removable add-ons might help cushion the blow. The parting out, although labor intensive, would probably be the better $ wise but cumbersome and likely a garage cluster for some time.
Wishing you a smooth transition and more importantly looking forward to what you end up with.

Yes sir. I'll probably head out a bit early to meet up and visit with my son in SC and then we'll mosey our way up. Looking forward to taking in more of BRP if it all comes together. I see it taking several days on the bike to Charleston. It's about 1,730 miles from my place to his. In the FJ I do it in about 2.5 days comfortably with minimal night driving. On the bike, for me at least add another couple days. I may leave even earlier and stop at some friends along the way in OK & TN which adds to travel time. I usually do the NM to So Cal run (approx 900 miles) in one run but these days it tends to wear on me. How long did it take you iron butt'rs last east coast run? You have any preliminary plans yet? Sure would be nice on a new bike.

Dave, It would be good to see you on the F6B. That Valkyrie can't run forever (well maybe it can). I will feel like a traitor parking the Valk, but at least I'll have company on the way to Inzane. Good luck and keep us posted.

Gary, John and I are planning on riding out together although we haven't decided when to leave yet. I would think at least a week early. I figure I will need a F6B just to keep up with Johns new wing. LOL Keep in touch and maybe we put in some miles together.
